Fitness and Performance Training

Our fitness and performance programs are base on a biomechanical approach, ensuring your body is functioning properly and effectively, without any joint, muscular, or neuromuscular limitation.  The periodization of the program lends itself to optimize your bodies performance toward your personal goals.  Many options are available varying in time of session and duration of program. A five step program has been developed by our therapist Dr. Shaun Blake PT, DPT

  1. Neuromuscular Fascilitation
  2. Muscular endurance
  3. Muscular strength
  4. Muscular Hypertrophy
  5. Muscular Power

Periodization of Cardiovascular programs are also available.  5K? 10K? Marathon?  Your goal is our goal.  Come in and see our specialists to see what program works best for you.


  • Manual therapy including: joint mobilizations, joint range of motion, active release therapy, soft tissue mobilizations, soft tissue massage, myofascial release, manual strengthening, PNF stretching
  • Neuromuscular re-education: PNF strengthening, Facilitation, proprioceptive training, balance training
  • Gait training: assisted devise assessments, gait analysis, foot wear education, progressive gait programs
  • Modalities: ultrasound, TENS, NMES, hi-volt electrical stimulation, lumbar and cervical traction, cryotherapy, moist heat therapy

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy can address a wide range of conditions from orthopedic, neuromuscular, vestibular, balance, and pediatric to name a few.  Alpha Physical therapy is able to address all of your concerns.  Our therapist has been trained as an orthopedic manual therapist, able to address a wide range of conditions.  Below is a short list of the many conditions:

  • Back pain: stenosis, Herniation, spasm, radiculopathy
  • Neck pain: mechanical blocks, headaches, radiculopathy, stenosis, spasm, joint restrictions
  • Shoulder pain and scapulo-humeral dysfunctions, impingement, post-operative
  • tendonitis/osis: shoulder, elbow, hand, knee, hip, ankle
  • Knee dysfunction: PFPS, ITBS, total knee replacement
  • ankle and foot pain: running injury, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis
